Art Therapy and Bereavement for Corporate
Why should I offer bereavement support to my team?
Grief doesn’t have to be a mental health problem, but without the right support it can soon manifest into one. It can also hit us quite unexpectedly. By providing early intervention into your teams bereavement whenever they need it, you will be helping them to regain long-term strength and find light in the darkness, as well as build a positive and memorable relationship between them and your organisation. How can Art Therapy which is specialised in bereavement support my organisation? Lilly is able to offer bespoke packages that will suit your business and the type of bereavement support you’d like to offer. Whether it’s offering a group art therapy session, which may focus on a particular matter regarding the bereavement, or one to one support (online or at the premises). I also suggest having a meeting with the CEO before the Art Therapy has taken place, to identify and discuss how the Art Therapy can support individuals and the team. Once the interventions are complete, I can then offer another meeting with the CEO, where we can discuss themes and what needs to be considered in the workplace to support the team. Art Therapy sessions can also be considered when holding in mind anniversaries of the person who has died. Death and dying is often not spoken about and it can be considered a taboo, especially in the workplace. Art Therapy can be a time to normalise grief responses and to understand emotions connected to grief. |
"In the most difficult of times, it’s the help and support you receive that has a lasting impact.
Lilly supported us with Art therapy workshops and bereavement counselling sessions last year with such compassion, kindness and composure. We had incredible feedback and her sessions were hugely beneficial. I would wholeheartedly recommend Lilly if you need bereavement support in the workplace or outside". -VCCP Business |
